AI infrastructure that transforms live events into instant branded clips and full-session video, eliminating the need for traditional post-production

The best moment of any conference happens once, in one room, in front of a few hundred people. Then it sits on a hard drive for a week.

Edit on the Spot has been named to TechCrunch’s Startup Battlefield 200, selected from thousands of applicants worldwide, and will exhibit at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, held October 13–15 at Moscone West in San Francisco.

The company builds AI infrastructure for live-event video. Its platform, Eventcut doesn’t wait for the recording. It edits the feed as it arrives. While a session is still streaming, the system ingests the feed, segments it, finds the moments worth keeping, applies the customer’s brand kit, and returns branded short-form clips and full session recordings — landscape, vertical and square, with transcripts — within minutes of the stream ending. No card transfer. No ingest queue. No editor scrubbing timecode at 2 a.m.

“Marketing managers always want the footage during the event so they can share it while it is most relevant, but the video production team could not get it to them until the next day or the next week,” said Martin Renaud, Co-Founder and CPO of Edit on the Spot. “With Eventcut they can create clips on the fly.”

The numbers

A 200-hour conference archive — the kind that costs an editor a full week of review before a single clip ships — can be worked through the same day, in roughly 30 minutes.

That number is what turns a nice-to-have into a line item. It changes who gets to publish, and when:

  • Sponsors get branded assets while the room is still full, instead of a delivery email three weeks after the badge came off.
  • Marketing teams post into the moment rather than the aftermath, on LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok, in the aspect ratio each one wants.
  • Video teams stop spending the week on triage and go back to making things worth watching.
  • Organisers sell same-day session libraries and sponsor video packages as products, rather than absorbing them as post-production cost.

Eventcut works for all recordings –  from a single-camera room to a multi-stream enterprise show running dozens of stages from one dashboard.

About Startup Battlefield:

Startup Battlefield is TechCrunch’s flagship early-stage program. More than 1,700 companies have gone through it, and alumni — among them Dropbox, Cloudflare, Discord, Fitbit, Mint and Trello — have raised more than $32 billion and produced over 250 exits, with acquisitions by Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, Uber and Amazon.

Battlefield 200 companies exhibit across all three days of Disrupt, and a shortlist pitches live on the Disrupt Stage. One company leaves with $100,000 in equity-free funding.

Disrupt 2026 is expected to draw more than 10,000 attendees from 113 countries, roughly 40% of them C-suite — which makes it the largest live stress test Edit on the Spot could ask for. The company will be cutting the event as it happens.

About Edit on the Spot:

Edit on the Spot builds AI infrastructure for live-event video. Its platform, Eventcut, turns livestreams into branded clips and full session recordings in real time, so event organisers, media teams and marketing departments can publish while an event is still running rather than waiting on post-production.
